The date is set!!

As soon as I woke up this morning, I called the Rexburg Temple to set a date to be married. The date is December 13, 2008 @ 9:00 am. I am so excited to be sealed to Matt for eternity! It's crazy to try to think about ETERNITY, that's a long time, but I am so happy to be spending it with him!

Yellow Stone National Park!

The weekend before school started, Matt and I drove the 2 and a half hour drive to West Yellowstone. I love little car trips with him. We always laugh the entire time and have really good conversations. I couldn't believe that gas was $4.10 there! We made a few stops at some geysers on our way to see Old Faithful. We ate at this diner at the Old Faithful Inn that was so good! Then, we got ice cream and froze our butts off watching Old Faithful.. It was such a fun day, and this will definetly be a yearly tradition!

Eating at the diner.

cool tree!

Back To Idaho...

I'm just going to back track a little for the next couple of posts. On September 2nd I flew back to Idaho for the fall semester. I was sooo excited to see Matt because we hadn't seen each other in 6 weeks. He picked me up from the Salt Lake City airport. I was so happy to see him!! We went to Temple Square and ate lunch at the Joseph Smith building. After lunch, we walked around downtown and went to different church buildings. That night we went on a big group date with my friends from Texas. We went to a minor-league baseball game, and went out to dinner at yummy Jason's Deli!

Happy as can be!!

The BEST birthday ever!!

Hey guys! This is my new blog. Something happened to my old one to where I can't log-in, so I have to start over!

This past Tuesday was my birthday. It started out pretty crummy because I had to wake up SUPER early for school, and then I had to stay on campus till 5:00. After work, I drove to Matt's house in Rigby (10 minutes from BYUI). Little did I know the best surprise ever was waiting there! Matt and I walked in the front door and his house was covered in rose petals and pretty candles. Matt cooked me a yummy enchillada dinner. After dinner, he gave me this journal with pictures and fun memories written in it. Then Matt said, "Let's go on the deck." So we walk outside, and stand there for a second, and this big "Marry Me" sign that Matt made out of lights lit up! I freaked out! We walked over to the sign, and there was a string of lights going up the tree with a rose at the top. Matt was like, "What's this rose doing here?" Inside the rose was my DREAM ring that my Matt lied to me about and said he couldn't get it. I was crying and laughing at the same time. Matt's two brothers, James and Mikey got it on video from the roof. It was such an amazing night! I am so grateful that Heavenly Father brought us together at such a perfect time. I love him so much, and I am so excited for this next phase of our lives!

The pretty flowers and candles Matt set up.

Thanks James and Mikey!
