HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT!!

Yesterday was Matt's 23rd birthday! I wanted to make the day extra special because last year I wasn't able to be with him on his bday because I was in Texas. Sadly, Matt had to work on his birthday =[ To start off the day, I woke up at 4:15 AM to make him breakfast ( Matt has to be at work at 5:30 every morning). It was a yummy breakfast in bed! Later in the day, Matt, his parents, Grandpa, James, Sadie, and I drove to Jackson, Wyoming to go to Bar J. Bar J is a place where they serve you a "cowboy" dinner, and then cowboys sing/tell jokes for your entertainment. Matt's family has gone to Bar J every summer for forever, so it was fun to be a part of their family tradition. Here's some fun pictures from our birthday adventures! Mom, I totally forgot to bring the camera when we went golfing, but Matt had a great time. I think it was one of his favorite gifts.

Yummy breakfast of eggs (with cheese of course), bacon, and blueberry muffins! I didn't have any small birthday candles, so I used a real one!
Opening his presents!

Shirts!

Soooo tired...

On the way to Bar J, we had to stop to get some SQUARE ICE CREAM.

Isn't it neat?

Only my Mom and Dave would understand the significance of this picture. LOL

Ok PEOPLE. I want you to look at the cloud in this picture very closely. Can you see the monkey? It's like a profile of the monkey. The mouth is sticking out facing the left...the nose sticks up on top of the mouth..and you can see the eyelids and it looks like it has a bunch of hair on his face? This picture stirred up lots of controversy lol. ALL the girls could see the monkey face, but none of the boys could see it. PLEASE tell me if you can see it.

Waiting for the show to start!

I was in heaven...that's a bunch of tender, juicy steaks!!!

YOU NEED TO BUY THIS...

OK...I am OBSESSED with things that smell yummy. I always am looking for the nicest smelling candles to purchase so my house will smell delicious. Sadly it seems that candles don't really last that long, and their scent seems to fade. I found something that reallly works to make your ENTIRE house smell so so good. It's called SCENTSY BARS. I know that some of yall already have these things, but those of you who do not ORDER SOME TODAY. The Scentsy bars are these wax bar things that you put inside of candle warmer. If you go to Scentsy webisite they have tons of flavors of wax (scentsy bars). The site makes it seem like you have to buy from a Scentsy seller but you can actually order them straight from the website if you go tohttp://www.scentsy.com/getascent. The best deal is the 6 bars for $25.00 (and the bars last forever!) They also sell the warmers (for $30) but I found MUCH cheaper warmers at candlewarmers.com (for $12.99). I would HIGHLY recommend the Illumination Fragrance Warmer (it's under the "Products link/tab at the top). You just put a couple of pieces of the Scentsy bar in the tray of the warmer, and 30 minutes later your house smells soo GREAT!
My 5 Favorite Scentsy Bars that I would recommend:
Camu Camu
Toasted Apple Butter
Clean Breeze (if you like the smell of Downy, you'll LOVE this)
Black Raspberry Vanilla
Sugar Cookie

Happy shopping!! =]

4th and Footloose!!

For 4th of July this year, Matt, his cousin/BFF Marc, and I went to the Idaho Falls firework show. It is said to be the "Best Firework Show This Side of the Mississippi", and it does NOT disappoint. We got there 2 hours early to find good seats. We ended up parking and literally sitting on the highway so we could make an easy getaway. Traffic here is NUTS after the show is over. At first we were sittin up on the hill right next to the gaurdrail, and cars were whizzin by. We decided that was a little too close, so we moved down the hill a bit. Even though there were crazies who had their baby strollers right against the guard rail!

Waitin for the show to start!

Marc and Matt. Marc looks like a tiny child.

This weekend, Matt's boss, Dale bought us tickets to the Playmill to watch Footloose. He also bought extra tickets for us, so we invited our great friends, Ali and Amanda. We made the drive to West Yellowstone, Montana after Matt got out of class. I really didn't know what to expect, but the show was AMAZING. The singers were phenomenal, and their acting skills were just as good. During intermission Dale bought us the famous fudge and popcorn. He really hooked us up.

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING DALE!

After Footloose, Dale kindly invited us to go up to their cabin on Bill's Island for dinner. Once a year, Dale invites 7 other of his friends to go skiing and have dinner at his cabin on Bill's Island. Bill's Island is home to the cabins of many celebrities like Demi Moore. They have a tradition that's been goin on for 15 years where they go skiing at midnight under the full moon. I thought it was going to be weird hanging out with a lot of people that are the parents of Matt, Amanda, and Ali's FRIENDS, but we had sooo much fun.

A view from the cabin.

Us on the boat dock.

Ali and Amanda!!

P.S.- PLEASSSSEE WATCH THE VIDEO ON THE PREVIOUS POST. IT IS SO DANG FUNNY!
